- 2 lbs pork belly cubed
- 2 ounces banana blossoms
- 3 pieces saba banana sliced
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons white vinegar
- 8 ounces pineapple juice
- 8 ounces lemon lime soda
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons salted black beans
- 1 piece onion chopped
- 1 head garlic chopped
Sear the pork belly until it turns brown, and enough oil is rendered. Remove the pork belly from the pan. Set aside.
Sauté the onion and garlic for 2 minutes.
Add the pork belly, soy sauce, vinegar, lemon lime soda, pineapple juice, and beef broth. Cover and let the liquid boil.
Add the banana blossoms. Adjust the heat to a simmer. Cover and cook until the pork tenderizes completely.
Add the salted black beans and brown sugar. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add the bananas. Cook for 5 minutes.
Season with ground black pepper.
Serve with warm white rice. Share and enjoy!
