Sprite Chicken Adobo

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. chicken cut into serving pieces
  • 2 cups Sprite
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 5 cloves garlic crushed
  • 3 pieces bay leaves dried
  • 1 teaspoon whole peppercorn
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a pot. Sauté garlic until brown.
  • Add chicken. Sauté until outer parts turn light brown.
  • Pour soy sauce into the pot. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add Sprite and vinegar. Let boil.
  • Add bay leaves and whole peppercorn.
  • Cover the pot. Continue cooking between low to medium heat for 45 minutes. Add water if needed.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and top with chopped green onions. This is best eaten with white rice.
