Sprite Chicken Adobo

- 1 lb. chicken cut into serving pieces
- 2 cups Sprite
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons white vinegar
- 5 cloves garlic crushed
- 3 pieces bay leaves dried
- 1 teaspoon whole peppercorn
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
Heat oil in a pot. Sauté garlic until brown.
Add chicken. Sauté until outer parts turn light brown.
Pour soy sauce into the pot. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add Sprite and vinegar. Let boil.
Add bay leaves and whole peppercorn.
Cover the pot. Continue cooking between low to medium heat for 45 minutes. Add water if needed.
Transfer to a serving bowl and top with chopped green onions. This is best eaten with white rice.
